KILN DRIVE

Kiln drives can be configured with either a single or double pinion, depending on the kiln's size and capacity requirements.

The kiln drive ensures smooth rotation by using a girth gear, which is attached to the kiln shell with tangential springs to accommodate thermal expansion. The drive system includes an electric motor with a frequency converter, a gearbox, couplings, and an auxiliary drive. A diesel engine can also be incorporated as an auxiliary drive. Both the pinion and girth gear are lubricated with grease.
