2014 FEBRUARY: NUH CEMENT DUOCAST XWIN SERAMİK VRM TYRES STILL IN OPERATION AFTER 7 YEARS
NUH ÇİMENTO SANAYİ A.Ş. having RM41 vertical roller mill for grinding the trass has completed its 7 year operation, and thanks to the MAGOTTEAUX DUOCAST XWIN Hi-chrome - ceramic composite alloy technology.
MAGOTTEAUX’s R&D department searched for an optimized and serving long life material for equipments which are subject to high wear, concluded its studies with an ultimate material called as XWIN which is a combination of ceramic particles and high chrome embedded into each other during a special casting method. One of the XWIN applied examples is NUH ÇİMENTO’s vertical roller mill for grinding trass - more than 7 years operation.
The tyres were initially supplied in 2006.
Combining the durability of ductile iron with the high wear resistance of the ceramic particles, this technology largely removes repetitive maintenance costs, hard facing application and it guides to make savings as well as labor safety compared to conventional materials i.e. NiHard4.
