2017 JANUARY: TURKEY'S FIRST BELT APRON CONVEYOR OF BEUMER IS SUPPLIED TO GÖLTAŞ CEMENT
One of the most important cement plants in the Mediterranean region in Tukey is GÖLTAŞ ÇİMENTO A.Ş. has decided to replace its conventional apron conveyor with BEUMER’s new generation belt apron conveyor.
Especially due to the high temperatures at the exit of the clinker cooler created a sort of obligation to use chain type apron conveyors for hot clinker conveying. The conventional chain apron conveyors are also difficult to operate due to its high requirements for maintenance and high noise level.
BEUMER R&D department has developed the belt type apron conveyors for hot clinker transport that the belt is never exposed to high temperature due to its special design. Since the belt is much lighter than chain, the speed can easily be increased and the overall width is smaller than that of chain type. Belt apron conveyors can be adopted to limited spaces and galleries because of its compact structure. The light weight of the belt apron conveyor also requires a less steel structure.
BEUMER has many references for belt apron conveyors worldwide and this one is the first reference in Turkey that will get rid of the present problems of dust and material looses.
