2008 MARCH : ITALCEMENTI BALIKESIR CEMENT UPGRADES THE GAS COOLING TOWER WITH FTR SOLUTION
Italcementi Set Balikesir Cement Plant has recently achieved some 1,200,000 TPD clinker production as a result of new investments. Set Group, which has high sensitivity to environment and nature, decided to completely renew the present cooling tower gas cooling system in order to further reduce dust emissions by operating more efficiently during new investments.
In this context, the entire water spraying system was replaced according to new capacities after making full heat balance calculation in order to achieve consistently the gas cooling tower outlet temperature without any wet bottom problem.
The system was successfully installed and operating.
