2008 OCTOBER: LAFARGE ASLAN TRUSTS MAGOTTEAUX XWIN TECHNOLOGY

LAFARGE ASLAN is accepted as Turkey's first cement factory that was founded as Eskihisar Cement and Su Kireci A.Ş. in 1919. The factory was incorporated in the Lafarge Group in 1989.
 
 Lafarge Aslan has won many awards for its cement types produced, which are based on quality continuity in production. In connection, Magotteaux's XWIN® ceramic composite alloy material became the first user in Vertical Roller Mills in Turkey.
 
The XWIN® technology is produced by Magotteaux in the form of combining high-chromium steel and ceramic particles during a special casting method.  The typical result of XWIN® material is 2,5 to 8 times longer life compared to NiHard4 material.
 
 Lafarge Aslan uses XWIN® technology for tyres and tables in the LM30, LM23 and LM21 vertical mills.
