2009 JANUARY : BURSA CEMENT PLANT USES MAGOTTEAUX XCC HAMMERS
Bursa Cement is one the leading cement manufacturers in Turkey with its capacity 1.200.000 tons clinker and 2.850.000 tons cement grinding. The plant provides 4% of overall cement manufacturing in the Turkish Market, and that of 13% in Marmara Region.
The quality conscious approach of Bursa Cement has led them to use Magotteaux XCC™ metal matrix composite alloy material for their crusher hammers.
Bursa Cement Plant has first installed Magotteaux ultra life & performance XCC™ hammers to have the longest and highest performance at service conditions. While standard hammers were lasting about 4-5 months only, Magotteaux XCC™ hammers were guaranteed for 11 months, and the reality came true 12 months and 18 days.
Consequently, Bursa Cement benefited more tonnage crushed in the crusher without stopping the unit for maintenance, therefore XCC™ hammers usage created savings significantly in time, labor and money as well as lesser risks during the maintenance period.
Bursa Cement Plant has ordered new sets of XCC™ metal matrix composite alloy material hammers for 1st and 2nd clinker crushers.
